Who We Are

Outline Ventures is an early-stage investment firm backing companies building the future of agriculture, supply chains, and health. We invest in founders solving structural problems across the physical world, from production and logistics to nutrition and health outcomes.

We’re a continuation of the investment strategy and portfolio established under Rethink Food. The firm is led by the same investment team, alongside a growing network of industry partners, now operating with tighter cohesion, sharper underwriting, and stronger conviction earned through firsthand experience building and managing an early-stage portfolio. We stay deeply engaged with our portfolio companies, applying those lessons and relationships in real time, while selectively backing new founders under an expanded mandate aligned with how the physical world is evolving.

Rini Greenfield

Rini is the Founding Partner at Outline Ventures and Rethink Food, with over 20 years of experience investing in technology companies. She previously founded Adaptive, a technology-focused hedge fund seeded by Julian Robertson of Tiger and an early pioneer in applying AI and machine learning to fundamental investment research. Rini later led private investments for a $6B single-family office and began her career as a technology analyst at Weiss Multi-Strategy. She serves on the board of the Stetson Foundation Fund, supporting education and the arts, and holds a BA from UC Berkeley.

Julia Pasek

Jules is a Senior Associate at Outline Ventures and was the first hire at Rethink Food. Her background spans mobility, consumer, and climate technology, with operating experience across both early-stage and scaled businesses. She helped build the next generation of mobility at Specialized Bicycles, previously managed and scaled a coffee company, and earlier in her career led channel marketing for B2B SaaS businesses. Jules holds an MBA from Duke University and a BS from UC Davis.
